The Mediterranean Sea offers some incredible cruise destinations, Greece being a highlight. Who hasn’t seen images of white-washed buildings atop island hills, with the surrounding deep blue sea, and wished they could be teleported? Naturally spectacular, culturally and historically rich, and home to some of the most iconic dishes in the world, Greece should be a frontrunner for any Mediterranean cruising.
Being comfortable and practical when sailing on a cruise holiday in Greece is important. Even in spring and autumn, temperatures will likely be warm. Summer, of course, is hot despite any sea breeze. As such, loose, natural fibres are always best. Think linen or cotton shirts, dresses and shorts. A sunhat and polarised sunglasses are strongly recommended when cruising the Greek islands. Comfortable enclosed sandals or sneakers make for smart footwear, especially if you plan to do a lot of walking at each destination. It goes without saying that swimwear is de rigueur!
