Itinerary + Map

Day 1 Split – Makarska
Depart from Split at 13.00hrs and cruise along the coast to the Makarska Riviera. After lunch arrive in Omiš, a picturesque town surrounded by steep rocky cliffs, where the River Cetina flows into the Adriatic. Overnight in Makarska, a famous tourist resort with many restaurants and bars along its beautiful promenade. Be sure to take a walk around the city streets to see the abundance of churches and other cultural sites. (L)

Day 2 Makarska – Bol (Brac) - Stari Grad (Hvar)
This morning continue to Bol on the island of Brac. Bol is a typical Dalmatian fishermen's village and is best known for its famous beach Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn). A walk along the promenade from Bol will bring you to the highest peak in the Adriatic – Vidova Gora, in whose shadow the town lies. Continue your cruise to the Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, the longest and sunniest of the Adriatic islands. Overnight the World Heritage listed town of Stari Grad. (B, L)

Day 3 Stari Grad – Hvar Town
Your next destination is Hvar Town, on the islands southern side. After morning cruising and lunch, stop for a swim amongst the Pakleni islands before arriving in Hvar Town in the afternoon. The town offers many cultural and historical sites including the Renaissance Cathedral, Franciscan Monastery and Spanjola Fortress high above the town. In the evening explore the towns many restaurants and bars. (B, L)

Day 4 Hvar Town – Vis
Early morning sail to Vis, an island which was, due to its geographical position, a strategic naval harbour and as such was closed to the public for many years. Vis has a special charm as the ‘Mediterranean as it once was’ which makes the island very interesting. Overnight in the town of Vis, situated on the northern side of the island, which developed near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban centre in Croatia. (B, L)

Day 5 Vis – Korcula
Today depart for Korcula, birthplace of the adventurer Marco Polo. Surrounded by medieval walls, Korcula looks like a mini Dubrovnik, and you will have time to explore the streets of the old town and its many restaurants and bars during the evening. (B, L)

Day 6 Korcula – Mljet - Sipan or Slano
Continue to the island of Mljet and its National Park. In the afternoon explore the beauty of the National Park with its two salt lakes connected by a narrow channel to the sea, island of St Mary in the Great Lake and the old church and monastery. Spend time relaxing or hiking and cycling around the lakes. Continue cruising towards Sipan, part of Elaphite islands near Dubrovnik; or towards Slano on the coastline. Both are small fishermen's villages. Overnight in the port. (B, L)

Day 7 Sipan or Slano – Dubrovnik
Arrive in Dubrovnik after lunch and discover this “paradise on Earth”, as George Barnard Shaw described the city. Walk along the Stradun, the main pedestrian thoroughfare, and its little side streets, ride the cable car up Srñ Hill, for views over the city and walk along the city walls, for beautiful views of the old town and surrounding islands. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B, L)
