FAQs About Our Dubrovnik to Split Cruise

The Splendid Croatia cruise includes 7 nights’ accommodation aboard the MS Splendid in a sea-view cabin, 15 meals as listed in the daily itinerary (welcome dinner, daily breakfasts, most lunches, and a Captain’s Dinner), a dedicated Cruise Manager throughout your voyage, daily cabin service, fresh towels and bed linen mid-week, and beach towel hire. Guided city tours with a professional local guide are included in Dubrovnik, Korcula, Hvar, and Split. As one of our first-class small-boat cruises in Croatia, this itinerary is designed to deliver a premium experience from embarkation to final disembarkation, without the hidden costs that can catch travellers off guard.

The MS Splendid offers standard cabins across three decks. Upper Deck and Main Deck cabins are 9-10 square metres with windows that open, making them the most sought-after options for guests who want natural light and fresh sea air. Lower Deck cabins are slightly larger at 9-11 square metres but feature a porthole rather than an opening window. All cabins on the MS Splendid include an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, toiletries, a safe, a hair dryer, and a wardrobe. Twin, double, and triple configurations are available, making this first-class cruise accessible for couples, solo travellers, and small groups alike. Two Main Deck cabins can accommodate an additional bunk bed for triple share use.

This Dubrovnik to Split cruise visits eight destinations across eight days, covering some of the most remarkable stops on the Dalmatian coast. Beginning in Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage city and one of the most beautiful old towns in Europe, the itinerary continues to Slano on the Dubrovnik Riviera, before heading to Mljet National Park, the medieval city of Korcula, the unspoilt island of Vis, the luminescent Blue Cave of Bisevo, the lavender island of Hvar, Zlatni Rat beach on the island of Brac, and the limestone village of Pucisca, before concluding in Split, another UNESCO World Heritage city and home to the remarkable Diocletian’s Palace. As one of our most popular cruises from Dubrovnik, this route showcases the very best of Croatia’s Adriatic coastline.

The Blue Cave, known locally as Modra Špilja, is one of the most extraordinary natural attractions in the Adriatic and a highlight of any first-class Croatia cruise. Located on the small island of Bisevo near Vis, the cave is famous for the luminescent aquamarine light that floods its interior when sunlight enters through an underwater opening and reflects off the white limestone seabed. The effect is genuinely breathtaking and unlike anything else in Croatia. Visitors enter the cave by small boat, and while swimming inside the cave itself is not permitted, a swim stop in the surrounding waters of Bisevo is included on Day 5 of the MS Splendid itinerary. Access to the Blue Cave is weather-dependent; your Captain will advise on the morning of the scheduled visit.

Meals are included throughout the Splendid cruise as follows:

  • A Welcome Dinner on Day 1 in Dubrovnik
  • Daily breakfast from Day 2 onwards
  • Lunch on most days
  • A Captain’s Dinner on Day 6

Dinner on Days 2, 3, 4, and 5 is at leisure, allowing guests to explore local restaurants and taverns in Korcula, Vis, Hvar, and along the Dubrovnik Riviera independently. This balance of included meals and free evenings is one of the things guests consistently appreciate about first-class small-boat cruises in Croatia: enough structure to keep things simple, enough freedom to make the trip feel bespoke.

Both the deluxe and first-class small-boat cruises of Croatia offer a premium experience on the Adriatic, but there are some distinctions worth understanding before you book.

First-class cruises in Croatia, including the MS Splendid and other vessels in our first-class fleet, typically operate on slightly smaller ships with a more intimate guest count, offering a closer, more personal experience both on board and ashore.

Deluxe Croatia cruises generally feature larger vessels with a broader range of onboard amenities and facilities. In terms of itinerary, both categories cover similar destinations along the Dalmatian coast, but the first-class experience tends to appeal to travellers who prioritise the quality of the journey; the stops, the guiding, and the atmosphere on board over the size of the ship. If you are considering cruises from Dubrovnik for the first time, the Splendid Croatia cruise aboard the MS Splendid is an excellent starting point.
