A round trip cruise showcasing the highlights of Croatia’s coast plus an excursion to the neighboring Montenegro! Marvel at the natural beauty of Mljet, learn of Dubrovnik’s history, swim in the clear waters of the Elaphite; this cruise is one not to miss!
DAY 1 SPLIT
Embarkation commences at 14:00hrs. Enjoy your afternoon exploring Split before meeting your cruise Director and crew over a welcome drink and a snack. Dinner will be served on board.(D)
DAY 2 SPLIT – HVAR – VELA LUKA (Island of Korčula)
After breakfast you have free time to explore Split on your own or join the optional walking tour with a local guide who will show you the monumental Diocletian Palace which was built over 1700 years ago. Late morning you will set sail towards Hvar, known as the sunniest island in the Adriatic and famous for its endless fields of lavender and rosemary, its beautiful coast and lovely historical towns. Upon arrival in Hvar, you will have the opportunity to join the optional guided walking tour or just explore and walk around the ancient streets of Hvar. Next cruise to Korčula Island for your overnight port. Along the way you will stop for a swim at the wondrous neighboring islands of Pakleni. Late afternoon arrival in Vela Lula (Korcula Island) followed by this evenings Captain's dinner on board. (B, D)
DAY 3 VELA LUKA (Island of Korčula) – POMENA (Island of Mljet) - SLANO
Start the day with a swim stop in one of the secluded bay along the coast of Korcula. Continue cruise to Pomena, a small village located on the western end of Mljet Island and gateway into the Mljet National Park. The National park is home to two salt lakes connected at the sea via a narrow canal. Upon arrival you can either join a guided tour or explore the National park on your own. In the late afternoon you will continue onto Slano, once adored by Dubrovnik sea captains. (B, L)
DAY 4 SLANO – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast you are free to explore the petite town of Ston, famous for its 5km long city walls or take an optional guided tour, Taste of Dalmatia. Cruise toward Dubrovnik with a short swim at Lopud island. Embark on an optional city tour or explore the historic city of Dubronik at your own pace. Impressive city walls enclose the medieval city centre and main street, the Stradun, around which you can see beautiful architectural buildings which combine Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque style in unique harmony. Enjoy your free evening to dine at one of the local restaurants. (B, L)
DAY 5 DUBROVNIK / EXCURSION TO MONTENEGRO
This morning we venture east across the boarder to the neighbouring country of Montenegro! Located less than an hour’s drive from Dubrovnik, Montenegro offers an unforgettable experience rich in history, culture and natural beauty. Discover picturesque Perast with its quaint seafront and Our Lady of the Rocks Church, poised on a manmade island. Next we visit the UNESCO listed gem of Kotor. Hemmed in by the staunch walls snaking up the surrounding slopes, the town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces and pillories. Wander around the town of your own before heading back to Croatia for dinner in Dubrovnik. (B, D)
DAY 6 DUBROVNIK – ELAPHITE ISLANDS – KORČULA
Cruise to Korcula with a stop at one of the beautiful Elaphite Islands for a relaxing stroll and swim. The Elaphite archipelago is alluring for its pristine islands which were once an oasis for local seamen to build their ships and for captains to build their estates. Today, the Elaphites are praised for their quaint ambiance. Lunch will be served on board, before an afternoon arrival in Korčula, allegedly the birthplace of famed traveller Marco Polo. Upon arrival into historical Korcula, embark on an option guided walking tour or explore the ancient streets on your own. (B, L)
DAY 7 KORČULA – BRAČ - OMIŠ
After breakfast we cruise to the island of Brač. On the way there will be an opportunity to anchor for a refreshing swim in a secluded bay. Upon arrival in Pucisca, located on the north side of Brac island, you will have the option to explore on your own or join an Stonemasonry School tour, where you will learn about the famous Brac limestone and their centuries-old tradition of stonemasonry and the unconventional tools they use. This famous limestone was used to decorate the facade of the White House, Budapest Parliament Building and many other landmarks over the world. Continue on to Omiš, where you will find a small town built below steep mountains at the mouth of the Cetina River. Upon arrival take an optional boat excursion exploring the Cetina River Canyon. The rest of your evening is spent at leisure. (B, L)
DAY 8OMIŠ - SPLIT
Depart Omis early and enjoy a farewell breakfast on board before saying goodbye to your fellow travelers and crew. Disembark in Split at approximently 09:00.
