Itinerary + Map

DAY 1 VENICE
We commence our tour with an arrival transfer to Hotel Salute Palace (4 star) or similar. This evening, we will meet our guide and fellow tour members at a welcome dinner. (D)

DAY 2 VENICE
Uncover the city's atmosphere and wonders on a walking tour of Venice's historic centre seeing the incredible landmarks such as St Mark's Square, Clock Tower and Doge's Palace. After lunch, cruise around the Venetian Lagoon to some of the well-known Venetian islands with picturesque scenery and incredible handcraft workmanship. Visit Murano island known as the "Glass Island", with an opportunity to see the glassblowers at work followed by Burano island, a typical fishing island with beautiful chocolate box like houses. DAY 3 VENICE – FLORENCE
Our Italian exploration will take us south to the region of Emilia Romagna that is steeped in gastronomic traditions with an opportunity to sample the famous parmesan cheese produced in this region. Continue to Florence, cradle of the Renaissance and birthplace of artistic and political greats such as Dante, Machiavelli and Michelangelo. Explore this culturally rich city discovering its most notable sites on a wonderful walking tour. (B, D)

DAY 4 FLORENCE
Today will be dedicated to further exploring the city's incredible artistic influence. Visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's David and the Uffizi Gallery built in the 16th century which houses one of the greatest collections of Italian and Florentine art. (B, L)

DAY 5 FLORENCE/TUSCANY
The beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany dotted with captivating towns rich in history, gastronomy and basking in magnetic energy will inspire us today. Visit Siena with its labyrinthine centre and majestic Gothic buildings followed by a visit to a local farmhouse to enjoy a typical lunch and wine tasting to sample local and fresh produce. Continue exploring to San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched on a hill deep in the countryside and one of the most splendid examples of medieval towns. (B, L)

DAY 6 FLORENCE – ROME

Our journey will take us through the region of Umbria arriving at the great city of Roma. On an afternoon walking tour discover ancient Rome, strolling through its picturesque alleyways and seeing some of the most important and historical sights including the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. (B, D)

DAY 7 ROME
Today, tour the magnificent Vatican City which comprises of incredible treasures of the Catholic Church and visited by over 5 million people each year. You will see Papal Palace, magnificent Raphael Rooms, the Sistine Chapel, one of the greatest and most famous examples of Michelangelo's artistic genius and finally St Peter's Basilica for an awe-inspiring guided visit of the most immense and ornate church in the world. DAY 8 ROME
This morning, you will walk in the footsteps of the gladiators on a tour of Rome's most famous monument, the Colosseum. The afternoon will be at leisure. (B, D)

DAY 9 ROME – NAPLES – BARI – CROATIA
Travel south to Naples, capital of the Campania region and beautifully situated on the Bay of Naples. Enjoy a tour of the city before departing to Bari for an overnight ferry to Croatia to embark on the next stage of your journey through the breathtaking Dalmatian Islands. (B, L)

Note: due to the release of the ferry schedule the itinerary on days 9 and 10 may be subject to slight changes to ensure arrival to Croatia is in line with cruise embarkation on day 10.

DAY 10 CRUISE: DUBROVNIK
This morning, we arrive at Dubrovnik, known as the 'Jewel of the Adriatic'. With time to explore it’s medieval city walls and Srd Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views. In the afternoon, transfer to the port to embark on a private charter aboard the deluxe MS New Star. This evening, we meet our Captain and crew and enjoy a welcome dinner on board. (D)

DAY 11 CRUISE: DUBROVNIK – SIPAN
We join a walking tour of Dubrovnik’s spectacular Old Town before departing on our cruise adventure to Sipan, famous for its wine and delightful laid-back ambiance. (B, L)

DAY 12 CRUISE: SIPAN – MLJET – KORCULA
A short cruise away is the island of Mljet. We discover the unspoilt beauty of the National Park and its two unique salt water lakes and medieval monastery before continuing to Korcula and a walking tour of this enchanting town. (B, L)

DAY 13 CRUISE: KORCULA – VIS
This morning we will cruise to beautiful Vis, which until the late 80’s was closed to tourism and served as a military zone for the Yugoslav army. The island’s authenticity is still evident as we explore Vis Town’s waterfront. (B, L)

DAY 14 CRUISE: VIS – BISEVO – HVAR
We cruise to Bisevo Island’s Blue Cave, one of the most unique natural phenomena in the world. Only recently opened to the public, its silvery blue waters are a must see. Our journey continues to Hvar Town, the historical centre of Hvar Island, for a guided walking tour. (B, L)

DAY 15 CRUISE: HVAR
Cruise along this beautiful island towards the ancient port of Stari Grad. experience the true nature of the Adriatic as we stop for a swim before continuing our exploration of Hvar by coach. We will take an excursion to Hvar’s fishing villages to get a glimpse of traditional island life, vineyard-covered hills, olive groves and undulating rosemary and lavender fields (seasonal). We enjoy a tasty peka lunch including wine tasting at a local konoba (traditional tavern) and return to Stari Grad with the evening free. (B, L)

DAY 16 CRUISE: HVAR – BRAC – SPLIT
This morning we will explore one of the Adriatic’s loveliest islands, Brac, and the picturesque town of Bol where you can find the famous Golden Horn beach. Afterwards, cruise to enchanting Split. With our guide we will walk the historic streets of the city centre, built around the 4th century Diocletian’s Palace, and then enjoy a final dinner on board with traditional Klapa entertainment. DAY 17 CRUISE: SPLIT

Your cruise-tour concludes with a departure transfer for your onward journey. (B)
